Education Center
A drop-off program for ages 6-14 based on Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education
Why us
Unique learning experiences and services
There is nothing like our education center in Snohomish County!
The Joyful Life is a drop-off program that meets on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9:30-3:00 and covers all the primary subjects, including Bible reading, hymn studies, Language Arts, math, the Riches (music appreciation, folk songs, handicrafts, art appreciation, drawing, and poetry), literature, history, geography, natural philosophy (science), and Spanish. Parent volunteers are welcome!
The tuition donation covers instruction. Additional fees cover consumable and personal materials.
Charlotte Mason philosophy of education
Charlotte Mason is known for her belief that "education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life." It is largely literature based, using narration as a tool to build habits of attention and memory. The Living with Charlotte website is a great resource to become familiar with Mason's educational philosophy. We also use the Charlotte Mason Cottage Curriculum, which can be found on Facebook.
