We love bringing joy through a rich education.

Lisa, the director of A Joyful Life, has more than three decades of experience in child care and education, ranging from the day care center to the home to the classroom to the stage to the forest. She enjoys bringing education to life through stories and hands-on learning.

The Joyful Life Education Center is located in a quiet, rural neighborhood on 2 1/2 acres which include a seasonal creek, a fenced yard, a wilderness area, as well as a dog, cats, chickens . . . and a pool of frogs!

The Language Arts curriculum includes reading, writing, grammar, recitation, handwriting, copywork, and a lot of literature.

Math & Science

We start with a base curriculum for math, like Life of Fred, and add logic games, living ideas in books, nature study, and science exploration.

The Riches

Our studies are enriched through artist studies, music appreciation, folk songs, handicrafts, drawing, and poetry.

History, Geography, and Citizenship

Our social studies span all of human history in 6 years so that each student starting in 1st grade will go through the course of history twice.

Spanish

Students learn Spanish the way all children learn language - through books, songs, rhymes, games, scripture, and phrases used every day.

I am.
